The Homes a 100 years from the day it was founded is truly a tapestry of faith and love and an abiding belief that good will prevail. Cottage grew to meet the growing demand and today the Dr. Graham's School is one of the prestigious Institutes of learning. Yet it is the Homes that need support.

To run this school as an elitist Public School in the hills, is not a difficult proposition. To continue to meet the challenges of providing hope for the poor is what makes it very complex. Full fee paying children in part subsidise the supported children. Committees aboard have done so much help, yet with the cost of living going up, it becomes at times difficult to conceive carrying on this dream.

In this year with the 4th Pay Commission, salaries being paid to the staff, the deficit is in the region of Rs.65,00,000/- Daunting though this seems, one cannot but wonder how many times such a crisis would have faced Daddy Graham. One can nearly see him standing up admonishing us for the lack of faith. If faith be lacking, let not love be deficit.

There must be a way of channelising the huge goodwill, genuine affection and unfailing loyalty to the Homes so that we can overcome this financial obstacle. The call is not for funding. But to look for ways that we can express our affection in a way that it helps to keep the Homes going. We need to be able to continue our Mite and our Might.
