Another year comes to an end. This year has witnessed many events filled with joy and hope.
The choir off to a wonderful fairy-tale like tour of England and Scotland,24 days,12 shows in London, Oxford, Edinburgh, Dundee, Cawdor, Inverness, Arran, Troon and Glassgow, a most satisfying and successful concert tour.
Homes had regular much more colourful events of the year like Sports, Games of Intra-school and Inter schools. Lots of prizes won by the students. Inter cottage singing competition, May-Fair.. May Queen was crowned by the 3rd Secretary of British High Commission, Mr. Paul Dryden.
Homes had a very colourful Birth day celebration. In this gathering, many OGBs, ex-teachers, house-parents, well-wishers, parents, VIPs from cross the globe come together to celebrate the Birthday of Dr. Graham's Homes, an Institution caring children for over 107 years.
In this occasion a very inspiring message to students given by the Chairman of Homes, Mr. M.J.Robertson. "Keeping our dreams alive and dreaming big. The children of the Homes must have dreams which they seek to realize, for a person without dreams is like a lost soul who knows not in which direction he is headed. We have experienced moments of glory, success and fame and moments when our hearts have been filled with sorrow, at times even shame. But nothing lasts forever. The greatest lesson to be learnt by parents,teachers and administrators is that discipline is necessary for excelling in any field, be it studies, games, arts or hobbies. Discipline is essential for personal and professional growth and without discipline a person can rarely achieve success. Discipline must never be confused with love or lack of love for you can love a person even when whilst you discipline him or dislike a person and never discipline him. How easily our problems would be a solved if we all realized this."
